Alice is a native of Charleston, West Virginia and a graduate of Marshall University. She opened her first kitchen design showroom in 1978, Galley Designs Ltd. in Charleston, one of only a few kitchen and bath design firms owned by a female proprietor at that time in the United States. While in West Virginia, she was very involved in the community serving as president of the Kanawha Valley Historical and Preservation Society. Presently, she spends her free time volunteering with Florida Poodle Rescue. Alice has a son and daughter, five beautiful grandchildren and two very spoiled toy poodles.

Alice is recognized for her superior kitchen and bath designs. Her design of Cajun Chef Justin Wilson’s Louisiana kitchen was featured on his televised cooking show. She has been published in the Florida Times-Union’s Water’s Edge, Kitchen and Bath Business, 2nd Home Journal and Design/Build, along with a featured cover in Women’s Digest. Alice’s kitchens both in the Main House and School House are featured at the Stetson Mansion (Deland, FL), and on the National Register of Historic Places. By attending art shows and gallery openings with my parents from a very young age, I gained an early appreciation for the imagination of the artists. My mother is a lifelong painter, and my dad was a sculptor. Together, they gave me much more than their love, work ethics, and zest for life.
